MEET OUR TEAM!

NATASHA - OWNER
She/her

Natasha is from Brazil and deeply loves dogs since she was born. She grew up with all kinds of dogs. Small and big!
After a career in Marketing & Communications and traveling the world in support of her husband's career, the family decided to settle in Portland/OR. Here Natasha started to take care of dogs out of her house, when she grew out of space and finally opened the first facility in 2019.
She works alongside with Francisca (Mini Pomeranian), Hamilton (Terrier mix), Nancy (Keeshond) and Martha (Beagle), all dogs she rescued in PNW.
Natasha is an advocate for dog rescue and volunteer for some non profits. You will often hear her talking about rescued dogs, dogs in need of home and non profits in the area.
At some point you will probably bump into her daughter Yasmin helping mopping the floors or on the floor hugging some dogs.

MARCELO CRUZ - ASSISTANT MANAGER
He/him

After running his own dog walking business for years Marcelo joined Dogville team right on the beginning, in 2019. Marcelo was Dogville's first employee sharing with all of us his years of experience observing dogs body language and dogs interactions.
He is the one responsible for the operations so most of the time he is inside the playroom managing the dogs and all the dog handlers. But sometimes you will find him on the reception area telling everybody his histories or sharing some recipes, since he worked as a Chef for years.
If you are lucky you will come in one day that he cooked something for us and he will share with you.
Marcelo works alongside with his awesome German Shepard Dog named Céu. The best GSD you will ever meet!

ELAINE ANDERSON - GROOMER
She/They

Elaine started at Dogville as a Dog Handler and rapidly became one of our supervisors, due to her friendly personality, her  knowledge of dog's body language and how loving she is with the dogs. You will often see the dogs going crazy when they see her on the way in.
Elaine was a hair designer before, and she decided to combine her passions and started learning about dog grooming. Nowadays she is one of our full time groomers and you will find her giving dogs a SPA day inside the grooming room. She works with dogs all sizes.
If you hear some musicals playing in the background it means Elaine is there. She is the Musicals connoisseur. She knows everything about them. Specially the ones nobody knows about or the very old-school ones.
You will see her handsome dog Apollo following her around the facility.

KRISTEN BURY - GROOMER
She/Her

Kristen has 20 years of experience and she is one of the best groomers in town! We love having her at Dogville.
All the dogs are always happy to see her!
Kristen specializes in small dogs, and sees dogs under 30lbs.
She received her training in the Seattle area in 2006 and kept studying new techniques with online courses, visiting dog shows and seminars. Kristen is certified in pet first aid by the American Red Cross.
Specializing in gentle and consistent care, Kristen values the dog and groomer relationship, focusing on building a trusting relationship by respecting a dog’s limits and putting the dog’s wellbeing above style. This means never putting a dog through heavy dematting and always trying to keep the grooming process as positive as possible.
If you see her in the grooming room stop by and say hi to her dog Mooni that is probably busy with his snuffle mat or just hanging out there waiting his mommy do her thing. He cannot see you, but he will appreciate some treats being tossed his way and some words of encouragement like "you are such a good boy Mooni!" because he really is!
